How to read package provenance
Provenance labels tell you what was captured, when, where possible, by what route or device, and under which review or access boundaries.
Start with source evidence
Look for capture dates, route notes, device or modality context, operator notes, and any privacy or rights labels. Those fields tell you how much trust to place in the output.
Generated outputs are labeled
If a downstream output is simulated, generated, or derived, treat it as a support artifact. It should not overwrite the underlying capture truth.
